Great Tips to Improve your Front Crawl
Keep the top of your forehead just above the water. If you bury your head in your chest it will put your whole body in the wrong position.
Try keeping you body relaxed, straight and parallel to the bottom of the pool.
Learning to glide correctly is a great way to practice this.
As you pull your arms through the water use a `S’ shape instead of pulling straight back.
Why?
Because this technique increases the amount of water you push backwards, meaning you will travel trough the water faster and more efficiently.
Extend your arms all the way back to your thigh on each stroke before lifting your arms out the water for the next stroke.
As you swim, let your hips move side to side with the natural movement of your body.
Keep your elbows high as you bring your arms out the water and all the way through to their return.
Look slightly backwards as you breathe.
Make your body as long as possible, point your toes and stretch out with each arm stoke.
